It's from the metal detecting rally you went on.

Its from a 16 gallon container, very rare because they normally came in 14 gallon just like the hat, blimey that was an easy one John, come on

I don't understand Dave. How can you be sure it's from a 16 gallon container ? Is it the shape of it ?

No Steve, its the colour, the 14 gallon are silver, 12 gallon bronze ,10 gallon black, any other colour and theyre fakes, smarty pants

I think the eyepeices have found a nice new home, the Gasmask me Uncle found on the beach

Looks great Mate, a good way to display two lots of relics as one. I thought I saw a couple of the top covers for the expel value amongst your weekend finds as well. Perhaps you could see if one would fit this mask too.

Yes mate you are correct i found 2, I havn't cleaned them up but once i have one of them will take it's place on the Gasmask
