    Hello,

I went back for another dig on sunday and covered another small area of the pit

    1:Naffi cup (broken) and fork
    2:Part of a field telephone?
3:Cap of some sort marked D 22 inside

Also had 6 more pots, buckles and a few broken drill rounds

The cap looks very similar to the safety cap off British mortars. I've attached a picture of mine for reference.

    Cheers

    Hello,

I forgot to mention it's made out of plastic or bakelite

I know the ones you mean Steve them come in 2 sizes i once found 50 in the same hole ended up leaving most of them. Did they use plastic ones aswel?

    Hi John

Nice finds, your sites proving to be very productive Im looking forward to seeing what you unearth next.
I think the cap could actually be a knob off a radio, the ridging around the sides is for grip.

    Cheers

Hi John, the cap could be off a 69 grenade? Can we see the inside please?

    Cheers, Ade.
