Hello!! Both Very Nice finds!!! What did you treat the helmet with? Did you spray or coat with a clear lacquer or other clear sealant??

Also, did you apply Phosphoric acid to the MP43? Usually the black color comes from the iron oxide (rust) that has turned to iron phosphate (black) when the acid is applied. Have you killed the rust in this method? It looks nice.

Helmet has been cleaned with ethanedioic acid and covered with paraffin wax.MP43 has been cleaned with electrolysis then soaked in rust remover and finally painted over.
