Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Hope i don,t disapoint you But in fact this helmet was mine already time ago-And it came from Kurland pocket.I hope i still should have some pics of this helmet on my old computer-just before i took of rust from it.I sold it back then -cant remmeber who bought it,but enyway it,s KURLAND POCKET HELMET.Sorry Marc-seller gave you wrong info.
I've bought a few things from Boriss at Russian Heritage and always been pleased. A story is a story and my take is either from the Narva front in Estonia or the Kurland Pocket in Latvia ( two most common ) these relics are great items and reminders of those desperate days in 1944 / 45
Cheers, Dan ( another east coaster - NSW )
NSW as in "Not Safe for Wife" or New South Wales
I'm only a temporary New South Welshman, I was born here but haven't lived here for 20 years....my wife got posted here!!!
I don't think NSW is safe for anyone!!! Especially driving in Sydney
No matter where it came fom, still a nice lid ith good history
Boriss is a nice guy and great to deal with but he is not a digger himself , he buys all his relic stuff from other diggers in Narva , Kurland , Russia etc etc but all his e bay stuff is advertised as being from Narva i think he cannot be bothered to change his advert for different things or maybe he can't remember where things have come from originally !!

No doubt.
.....once you havent gotten the genuine relic from the veteran himself or dug it up yourself, all bets are off.
Hi mate, Thanks for the post.
I only had 2 main concerns even when i was buying this lid. All im really worryed about is that it was real German ww2 helmet (Which im sure it is) and that its real battle damage that im sure it is also. Im not really fussed where in Europe it came from as long as it is the real deal.
Yeah can you post some pictures of what it looked like in its original condition? I would love to see it
Do you know who dug it . Thanks man
