New Helmet and gasmask

So I'm guessing that this was chucked into an outbuilding where it has mouldered amongst the hay and animals for the last 70 years????
( I guess its the only way to explain the rusting?? )

Yea, after 70 years this items left the farm , to bad for the helmet but i love the story behind it.
