Decided to give one of the Percussion ignitors a little attention,Sadly the spring had rotted away.
They have cleaned up beautifully, and even though the spring has deteriorated beyond a recoverable point they still look amazing!
A little scratch around the edge of a field yesterday yielded a small amount of finds.
Three Merlin valves,A light housing of some description.
A stainless bracket and bolt both nicely stamped.
And after some straightening a nice bracket stamped Mayday Canary,Not sure where this would have been fitted !
