    Great finds ! Kidney plates and pistols galore. A lot of the pistols still have the protective cap fitted, which rarely survive this long in the ground. Most of the rounds look to be drill rounds, the ones you have linked up are 30:06 by the looks of them, do they have wooden bullets? Are the headstamps FA 29 or similar ? You say the links came from elsewhere. They are 7.62 NATO links and were used from the mid 1960's and are still in use today.

    Yep, cheers Gary, spot on with the headstamps for the 30:06 wooden drill rounds Here's a couple of pics. Most were on 5 round clips

    Yeah, I think it must have escaped from my other bits and pieces . Along with all the 177 pellets I should have removed too :-)
