Ahhh... I'd love to have a go with that furnace myself, got lots of these laying around... quite amazingly well preserved after nearly 70 years in saltwater, I don't have the patience for cleaning them all "manually" these days though. But yeah... again; Good job using a very unusual but rather effective way of cleaning. Please, do share more!
It is not easy to find weapon-parts in Denmark - here they are not just laying around.
...but still it is possible to find these parts.

Have found a bolt for an Maxim-mg in same area.

I also use electrolysis for cleaning relics, but if its metalparts an I want to dismantle them - a furnace works best for me, and fast!

...no I am not - what leeds you to think that?

The one I use, we have at work.
It is very expensive - also to use.(furnace is on 85.000 watts)

The more I look at it the more I worry that I actually threw one like this out last year, it just wouldn't stop rusting and I didn't know what it was... you've definitely done a great job of cleaning it!!

I like the restoration process nearly as much as finding the relics.

Next time you feel like throwing a nice relic from ww2 - throw it to Denmark!

Here is a picture of a bolt to an Russian Maxim m1910 - another model than the one I found.
    ...but almost identical.
