Article about: This ring was found by a fellow digger in a dump. I don't think it's gold, but it's not the first one I see with the same style. I am wondering then if anyone knows what it is. It was togeth

    'Rolled gold' is actually the thickest of any other type of plating, as it requires
    micro thin sheets of gold which are bonded to the base metal, rather than
    electroplating an entire piece.........

    It's also much more durable than plating-which makes sense for a daily wear ring.

    thank you for the extra feedback! So it's gold plated after all? Interesting, I did not consider that since it was given to me in a lot of scrap finds from the dump. I think that original finder did not know that either. I do have a 2nd one but it's basically identical to this one.
