Hi DM,
In the top pic you have a SMLE bolt at the top, Bren Mk1 Multi tool to the right (Issued with each Mk1 and then withdrawn and issued only to Armourers).
Below the bolt is the mouth piece to the No4 Bayonet scabbard, below that is a SMLE rear sight protector. The bits to the right of that have been ID already so I wont repeat it. Bottom left looks like a upside down Charger clip for a 7.92 type rifle but its not clear to be sure. The bottom looks like a cut off No4 rifle end but it looks the right length for a Mk5 Sten barrel.
Pic 4 shows a No1 Mk3 SMLE butt plate on the left and a No.4 on the right. I can also tell from the photo that the bayonet is defo a No1 Mk3 Pattn 1907 Bayonet.
Good photos there DM , that Sten T stock has come up really nice, shame about the bayonet not being german, but you cant be greedy now can you, youll have to make do with the butcher bayonet, damn it,
I just realised what the" thing" is,it is part of a ballvalve from a toilet cistern or water tank
whoops sorry then I saw the reply under the picture
ha ha... great find then although its still a nice looking thing in brass I knew that it looked familiar! I just had no idea what!
Gives new meaning to the Phrase "kitchen sink and all" ha ha
I'm resisting the temptation to type a load of 'ballcock' jokes........
You mean cock and ball stories
im impressed how well most the stuff came up,im glad the sten parts turned out to be MKI,ill have to find one of them soon.looks like you all enjoyed it.
