    Hi all

Some more pictures of cleaned stuff.

The 20mm magazines came up REALLY well. The face that was facing inside the storage crate is as good as new, the face that was against the wall of the case isn'[t so good.

Butt plates, LE oil bottle, LE front sight guard, LE No. 1 end piece (in bad condition), SMLE magazine.

The two butt plates on the right have a much longer tongue than the others. What are these off ?

One even has lots of nice markings on the tongue.

Last lot. The two sten mags I found cleaned up very nicely. The trigger guard and barrel caps also came out nice.

However, I thought the other bits may be part of the trigger mechanism for a Sten as they were found where all other Sten bits were found........but I can't match them up against anything on the net. Anyone any idea what they are ? I found literally hundreds of them.

Hi Steve, the normal butt plates are from Enfield No.4s, the long type butt plates are from Long Lee Metford/ Enfield or CLLE conversions. The markings are unit markings from the pre butt disc period so the markings will be associated to somthing like Highland light infantry.

The Trigger parts could also be feed pawl parts from a belt fed but I cant ID them yet. I do know theyre not STEN or Bren parts. The parts your calling barrel caps are the reurn spring caps.
