    Default Shell casing Seelow

Hi I was wandering around the bottom of Seeow ridge last weekend and found a nice threaded piece of shell casing. It is not too corroded with only surface rust and I would like to clean it up to display it alongside my Ost front collection.

Can any one advise the best way to clean the rust of of it and get it back to as good condition as possible.

    Many thanks

Have a look in one of the other forums ...... the one on restoration. Plenty of help in there

i was in berlin last summer, i wanted to go digging at seelow but then i looked up the laws concerning metal detecting in germany and i was quite disappointed : (

i bet there are truckloads of relics there just waiting to be found. the germans ditched all kinds of things at seelow.
