Some very nice lumps there, looking forward to seeing the cleaned results!

First up is a B17 bombardiers window.
As you can see its been in a fire at some point so is out of shape but still a great item!!!

That flak curtain is amazing. Is it filled with the same steel plates as a flak vest or nylon? Quite an important piece in the history of armour I'd have thought.

Hi Ian,

It was filled with plates just like a flak vest just the plates were a little bit bigger. I think there were 5 come out and i got the odd one. I had never seen one before.

Same here, I think I've heard of flak curtains but don't think I've seen a photo. To have one with the stencilling is very impressive. I can see the advert now "Henry Ford's patent bullet proof curtains, a gangster essential"
Is that a walk around oxy bottle? Never seen that decal, it's a lot more eye catching than a bakelite knob with 'Use no oil or grease'.

Was going to hang the curtain in my truck you need it in certain parts of Essex. Ha.

Yeah it's a walk round bottle. I only brought it home because of the markings on it were in good condition and it was laying on the heap looking unloved.

To be honest my favourite item in that little group is the laminated window from the nose. Just to think of the view it once had of Europe.
