Something Strange

[Bunghole]

I found this on a battle field in Germany.
On one side it has ( Lambert )
And the other side has ( Daspich Moselle )
There's more on it but I can't make it out.
And it's not a coin.

'Daspich Moselle' is in the north east of France.

Could this be a lead seal, or a winery related item ?
