    I'm sorry, but this past weekend my friend and I went back to battlefield on north Stalingrad. But I just now found the time to tell you.
    As you remember on the battlefield, we found a German bunker, where we dug a German bayonet...

    Taxi is very cool for ordinary guys and so we arrived there by public bus))))

    my friend in action and the first finds...

    And then it was my turn to dig ... some time later, I was shocked

    shovel hit the percussion fuzes on shell friom 8-cm Schwerer Granatwerfer 34

    and next was buckle

    us waiting exit from the bunker. We dug up 2/3 part of the bunker...

    and we did very well hole in the ground

    On an exit from the bunker were two German helmets (M40), the cover of German Mess Kit (with the owner's name), bottle of wine, scabbard and Gas Mask Canister box

    Greetings, Sebastien! Always great to hear from you...I knew things would get better for you eventually, and that it was just a matter of time before you found a good spot to dig! The liner on that Stahlhelm is incredibly well-preserved! Great photos as well, thanks for the update!

    The cable keeper is for small lengths of wire either for Pioneer use or for field phone grounding cable. NH

    Amazing finds ~ I guess such days as this make those long Winters a lot more tolerable ! LOL

    Thank you for sharing these finds ~ A source of inspiration to get otu there and start digging even in our own WWII historic sites ~
