Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Wow...the decal really came out with the cleaning! I'm thinking that whoever was wearing this helmet had a very severe but short headache...

Nice cleaning job! Was the cleaning done using Oxalic or MDTA?
Was using Oxalic
Thanks, in your opinion is Oxalic better for steel and MDTA better for zinc?
Sebastien how many spoons of Oxalic do you add in 10 liters of water?
I want to clean the rust from this canister but not to damage the remaining paint and i think Oxalic Acid is the only way since electrolysis will destroy everything.
Looking for the photo albums of Leutnant Emil Freitag, 3. / G.R. 377
