    Yesterday I was digging around my university ... do you remember where I found a lot of Romanian and German staff...

    This evening, I was digging in the dark after work.

    Lend lease firearms were used but they were not too popular because it was hard to get ammo for them. Can You please also post pictures of the helmets after cleaning? Both seem to be very nice shells with a lot of original paint still there.

    For a guy continually having work and gas shortages interfering with whats really interesting (relic hunting!), you continue to find nice stuff! Congrats.
    (BTW a job aint nothing like a lot of work!).

    Good point and interesting.
    Come to think of it, Ive never heard any accounts of USSR vets in regards to this. Would be great to have some first hand accounts of how the soldiers fought with and thought of the LL arms (we know of how the P-39 were regarded and of the service of that plane in Soviet hands, but Ive never heard much about the small arms in Soviet service).
