The 20 -30 dollar helmets are the ones that have just been found in some rusty farm dump but then sold as genuine sexy Battlefield dug ups !!
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

    Hi guys!!!
You talk about the price of war rubbish ... it's good.

But I think for this thread (on the forum) would be better to discuss about maps, diagrams, memories of soldiers ... All about Stalingrad battle

I am very interested in maps and information about the positions of this book

    Hello, Seb.

I am still quietly watching and enjoying your finds. I was very interested in the MG nest and all the spent shells. That position could really tell some tales. Make sure you enjoy yourself and hope you come across a valuable find which will pay for your hard work!

    Thanks for words!

About the MG nest on Mamaev hill I will tell in winter... because sometimes I dig there at night, yet.
But I find nothing only ammo for k98

    Andrey,
I am looking for the book but not much luck, I will keep trying. and yes we ARE waiting on that very rare item. Please hurry, a Stuka buried at last minute in tar paper will be acceptable.

After 3 days of reading, i am astounded by the quality and quantity of finds. Sebastian you are to be congratulated for your physically hard work and determination over the 3 years. I hope your employer will recognize this and pay you accordingly, or give you time off for digging!
