Tank T-34/76 found near Stalingrad

Yesterday, from the bottom of the river Dobraya that Surovikinsky district of Volgograd (Stalingrad) region have found the legendary tank T-34 that had lain on the river bottom for almost seventy years.
Even 10 years ago tried to dug up this tank.
From beginning sawed ice, then the divers was attached cord and examined the bottom - the tank was on a three-meter depth. He then worked as engineers, they removed the ammunition from the hull and only after that the tank pulled to the surface.
After cleaning the inside of the tank found the remains of the crew.
Says expedition member -"when we define the serial number of the tank, we hope to find out anything about the fate of the deceased crew"

The museum wants to restore the tank and put on a pedestal.
Yes, I do. But the pictures look a long time. Maybe in the future I will set photos.
Several years ago I worked at this museum, I was a volunteer and helped restore a motorcycle DKW NZ 500.

Fantastic Sebastien , it will be interesting to see if the guys can get the History of the Tank and the men and when it was destroyed , it could have been during July / August 1942 in the Battles in the Don Bogen or during the closing of the Kessel and the advance to Kalach , maybe even during the fighting on the Chir front , a great historical item !

Hopefully the remains of the crew will be indentified.

Historians have supposes that the tank was destroyed during attack von Manstein in December 1942.
