Very Nice WH , it certainly didn't let you down and is still jammed ,
With so much Mortar action there must be lots of casual losses from the troops using the site. But me thinks you should try to find the area they were aiming at, it'll be packed with interesting shrapnel and fins. The Mk1's maximum range was 1500m and the Mk2 was 2400m, but of course the target was probably much closer because the crews like to view their work.
Try viewing the area with google, something may jump out as a possible target area, perhaps a hill side, an unusual promentary, isolated copse, a quarry or pit.
Ps like the camera angle, straped to the down tube.
