That's one of the carbs fitted to Texas Raiders, so the blue paint is most likely from a recent overhaul.
The NOS one I examined at Beltring in 2009 which still had USAAF and manufacturer's seals on was bare metal (and ridiculously priced...)

Thanks guys Awesome bit of IDing
PB - Thanks for the pictures
ian_ - The tubes have the remains of yellow paint on them. Given they were found with the carb mesh, this leads me to think they are an engine part rather than blast tubes.
LS - The engine bits suddenly appeared from within the usual 'seam' of rusty tin cans. Amazing condition really. Now I have got to find somewhere for them in my display !

Hey CB , touchy is'nt he, like a bear with a sore head, but ive got to face that next week, he'll have a face on him like a bulldog chewing a wasp and i wont hear the end of it all day, the only thing that will make him happy is if i find a vickers before him or enough parts to make one
I've told you what will happen to you if you find a Vickers before me. And yes, I will be bringing my elbow length glove and a large tube of KY just in case you do.......
Well i do need a colonic irrigation, been a bit packed just lately, even a good curry cant shift it, i'll bring the bar-b-q tongs, just in case
You can't beat a pile of tea rations and a cracking toothbrush, Good stuff Steve!!
