Hi Glenn66,

Sadly it was too large to stand in a bucket of derust and I would have needed loads of the stuff so because of its worse for wear condition. I just used a plastic brillo, soapy water and a lot of elbow grease and then sealed it with a matt varnish which brought out the colour even more

It turned out much better than expected, so much so my nine year old son has suggested it stays with me where he knows it'll be safe (he can have it back when he's older). His worry was if he took it home his mum would probably dump it when he wasn't around
