Perhaps not as clear an image as it might be, but this shows a Tankers helmet in North Africa in December 1940, according to the caption. From George Forty's Desert Rats At War, North Africa.

Hello, and thanks. No I have taken the helmet in my hands, for sure it's not an Italian M33. Another detail, the helmet has a thin band of stainless steel around like American M1.

Hello, thanks. Unfortunately I have no more photos of it, but it's an high definition photo (about 3 M byte) so it's possible to enlarge it a lot.

Hi Mark, sorry I saw no hole in the center of the dome. Have you any photo of the liner attachment?

The 'Force' is telling me that the place where these relics are located are the troglodyte underground dwellings in Tunisia where the scenes of Luke Skywalker's house on Tatooine were filmed during the making of 'Star Wars'.....

Morning Gianni here are three possible liner systems that could have been used in this style of helmet .

1- liner system from a Mk I despatch riders helmet
2- liner system from a late war British tankers helmet (1945)
3 -liner system from a Mk II para helmet
