If that's whats on top, imagine what you could with a detector. That Mauser looks to be in some lucky shape. I mean it looks like it just came off the rack, wood and all.
Ahh...Ijust read above that it was a pic from Russia. Perhaps a good gimmick. Cut the tree,drill a hole, insert a rifle, some plugging compound and paint and..whala! Well,it's possible.
