    And clearly it was live and primed when it was buried vis the plunger and compressed spring still in place!

    I've no idea to be honest, although Ypres (?) if I remember correctly, comes to mind, when I think back.

    I'm probably wrong though.

    Got a base plug for it (on the way) just to hold it together a bit better.

    If it screws in properly...

    Base plug number 23 - DF & Co. (Dudley Foundry).

    Won't screw in properly at the moment, needs a bit of filing inside to accept the plug.
