    Hi Steve

    Very simple :

google search az73 gives the picture of the fuze

And also the complete bomb with fuze

we can see the fuze hidden between the relics

origin of the pictures : BOCN (uk)

    AHA !

I see what you mean. That was a SUPERB spot in amongst the other uncleaned stuff. However, I am sorry to tell you it is actually a light fitting, complete with wires and bulb attachment. It is currently somewhere in my 'From WW2 but not worth displaying' box in the garage.

Many thanks for your replies though. Very interesting

    Cheers

the small tube, in the photo under the head lamp holder thingy... is the handle to a screw together razor, i have two kits i can show you. these were the same in ww1 as in ww2. the case changed thought. ww1 ones are metal cased and pretty and ww2 are just a simple stiff material. I have one of each.

You sure Dan ? You mean the black object ?

It has Max Factor embossed on it so I was fairly certain it was a lipstick holder.

I did find a safety razor handle on the same trip (you can see it in the photos), and that is quite a lot bigger than the black tube.

sorry, some how I missed your description (safety razor handle), must just have gotten excited by your finds again. Not the black thing... but the safety razor handle If I could work out how to link pics I would take a snap of my two kits.

The "headlamp thingie" is the rim from either a landing light, or marker light etc on an aircraft. What's the actual diameter?
