    That Totenkopf is an incredible piece to find, I'd be thrilled to no end...

    Great that the stuff is still there in Normandy to be found but a pity the rich alluvial soil the region is famous for also degrades iron so much - in comparison to the drier eastern soils where we have all seen incredibly preserved relics exhumed in recent times.

    Good point, Danmark...I've also noticed among Ostfront Relics that the items from the Stalingrad region tend to be more badly deteriorated than those found elsewhere, especially when compared with Heeresgruppe Nord/Leningrad relics...

    Sorry but the dug up machine is very much a Zundapp KS750. The DKW fork is a parallelogram as well but not this one!
