Aleks, believe you'll like it given your special interest to the Winter War.

The writing on the backside ".... in the memory of my active participation in a war with 'white finns'. Frida V (c)

The research has showed this woman appears to be Frida Vasilevskaya (1903-?) medic, major who served later in a war 1941-1945, awarded Order of the Red Star in April 1945.

She was born in Gomel, Belarus then moved to Leningrad for studies/work. She would work as a doctor from 1928 before joining an army in 1939. No details of her Winter War record. She rejoined the army in July 1941 with the 32 Army medical service, Karelian front. As of her Red Star award date (20.04.1945) she was ranked major, chief medic with the front hospital 2536 in Yehkila near Vipperi (Viborg).
In postwar times she has been a professor with the Leningard Medical Institute.
