and looks to be an unmessed with dagger.
The swirl marks if opened incorrectly will appear around the top of the guard beneath the tang nut and visible as it would scrape along the nickel

I have noticed some gunk around the logo..can that be wiped off ?

It a small spot of corrosion. i tried to get rid of it gently, but to no avail
Bargain at $200 , overall its a nice early factory ground Rohm SA by Carl Eickhorn
