This is what a you would expect from a Herder A.S. Dagger
Herders have a very dark appearance:dark grip & scabbard.
The contrast with the dull fittings makes it a killer.
This grip has veel enhanced they way that Herder did, well curved, no sharp edges.
The blade is a screamer, full crossgrain, deep etch and logo with full burnish!
This is as good as they come.
No dents in the scabbard, which has almost all its anodation and Zapon lacquer, a nice untouced ball, and a lovely grip with perfect fit!
Only little blemish: in the Sa rune misses a tiny piece of enamel
    Enjoy this lovely blade!
    Regards,
    Ger

Im amazed at this producers logo variant ..having this much crossgraining!! and this one, other than light runner marks rates a full mint. The SA Mann must of been the conservative type ever so rarely pulling the dagger out of the scabbard..but yet...he has been around to alot of places due to the external condition of the dagger. Nice Dark wood grip also, A Herder Trait. Another Chunk of the Step Gerrit! Regards Larry

Just for reference sake here the 2 known tang markings that Herder used: spates & crossed keys
These markings belong to a Herder i owned, i did not open up this dagger.
But as far as i have seen Always combined with the P.A. cross guards
The tang markings of the last 2 daggers belong to a fellow Collector Rafael ( thx Raf.)
