Hi CAnnUK..welcome to the forum! You have a decent condtioned early SA Dagger. What makes this dagger special is the Tiger striped grip. Personalized by the original owner. Nice to see these..gives the dagger character. The SA gruppe mark "He" Hessen is correct for this maker. Thanks for sharing. Regards Larry

Shame about the loss of anodization on the scabbard. But like larry said, the type of wood used for the grip gives it a distinct look. The early daggers with their solid nickel fittings gives them a higher quality look that I really like.

    Welcome to the forum!

    Original all thru!
Pity the blade and scabbard have been sanded, but the Grip is an extra on this dagger.
    Nice fit overall

    Cheers,
    Ger

Its the small parts,, that gives size to the greatness,,of the overall website here. Every contribution no matter how small or big is history in the remaking,,brings back to life ,,the past...to learn and not to be forgotten. Your SA dagger is just another building block to a growing reference to history. Your dagger is now a tool of education,,which now makes you a teacher. Thank you for showing this early period example SA dagger. Regards Larry
