Full Rohm Sa dagger on auction

Hi all...i'd like to share my concerns on the dedication of this dagger on auction...it seems to me that in the spine there's a grinded area( grounded and then reetched?),the Etch seems to go over the pitted areas and in many places the dedication seems to "avoid" the rust areas...am i wrong?
