Hi Krad..thank you for posting separate this early beauty...and with porn pics..goes the rest of the love story.
This dagger Rates a 5 in rarity ..which as I said in another thread..that not too commonly found as were in the earlier days. The man with the Golden Front step may disagree yet still desirable to find this ink blotter logo.
Gustav Felix : Established in 1843
Present day : Still in Operation , making cutlery, scissors, straight / cut throat razors. and pocket knives
Period produced :
Early SA ...Gruppe Marks "Nm" "Wm"
NSKK
Mid Period double proof trademark RZM7/28
HJ Knives
The dagger appears to be total Virgin and never opened ...very nice and desirable..great patina
The blade appears to be hiding some decent crossgraining through the muck ..and will IMO clean upo very nicely with some simi chrome. The blackening spots on the blade can not be removed..as these are left over finger prints,,that had embedded itself into the steel over time. But the blade will shine up with light usage of simi chrome..going in the same direction as the crossgrain.
The rest of the dagger..leave well alone and untouched. Congrats on a nice find.
Dont be bullied by someone saying..this dagger is no big deal...we all know HISTORY IS A BIG DEAL !! ..and I will argue that point as long as I have to. Regards Larry

Very nice dagger in uncleaned condition. Maybe you will find a leather belt to complete the hanger.
