    Hi list

I just purchased this SA dagger and I am no expert so would like opinions on this Herman Linder dagger. I have researched online and found and article stating that this maker is rare .
It has had quite a bit of abuse and obviously this would detract on price but I paid £200 for it .
Any information or opinions would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks in advance

Yes Norfolk your research is correct and is a 10 in rarity.
Your dagger has some abuse to it with a repaired chunk of wood that is original to the dagger and a missing ball in the lower scabbard fitting. Sadly the SA runes button has been pulled out and filled in with wood filler.

The SA Gruppe mark "Om" is correct for this producer and also a rarity in itself coming from the eastern part of Germany.

The blade has age grey to it but still presents itself historical and having that been there look to it ..the grip is rounded down which shows the SA man had his hand on his dagger alot.

These grips when released from the factory has sharp contour ridging ..so this guy must of been on guard somewhere being at the ready for demonstrators or communists.

An All original early period SA dagger with a rough life.
