A transitional SA dagger in fair condition. Looks original. The part of the grip where it meets the lower crossguard on one side, is there a chip? Other than that I don't see other problems. It would be a good idea to see the blade in the scabbard to check the scabbard throat to crossguard fit.

Tell me please - such gaps and protruding parts of the overlays on the handle - is this normal?
We see the grip growing from the guards sometimes on early SA daggers..not all but occasionally due to grips being ordered from outside contractors.
The dagger may have been opened and was never tightened enough to where the slide of the grip should of held place.
The grip contours do meet the guards well ..but I do see your concern.
