Hi Chris, I have read the opinions of my forum friends and studied the pics.
For me it is original. All comes down to price. I would only buy it if it was cheap.

I agree with Ade...seeing the motto and blade under a different light..makes a big difference. I feel also the dagger to be authentic..and possibly opened a few times. All fittings are authentic and appear to be from the same period...but cant say for sure are original to the dagger. The upper fitting looks a bit disheveled....other than that if the price is reasonable..go for it. Regards Larry
