Hey Brookes welcome to this excellent forum.
Screws are often thought to be a simple matter on Political daggers but there's quite a bit to them.
Tom Johnson sells plated steel examples, I do not know of anywhwere you can buy nickel examples any more.
If you have a missing screw you need to buy a tap at the same time as IMHO most times the threads have the be "chased" in order to get the threads to fit right. You need to buy the right screw, lowers are longer than uppers. There's a reason for that too, the lower secures the lead weight in the bottom. In my experience uppers have a 2 mm thread and the lower appox 4-5mm. Before you replace a screw you need to ensure you have the right screwdiver. I know that sounds obvious but you have no idea how many guys just "make do" and invariably make a mess of the screwhead. Tapping the hole and using the right driver will ensure a good job. Finally when you get the screw seated slowly insert the blade, in many cases the blade will bind on a new throat screw. In this case you need to use a triangular file to file the bottom of the screw.
Hope that helps Sir and good luck with this.
    Paul

Brooks there might be another way:
i once searched an early screw before and found it on ebay.
You have to be lucky but if you are patient they will come in time.
now only the these are availavle, but they can be polished:
