Yes, this kind of mark with two digits year underneath I saw on Spitzer RZM HJ knives only. I can't explain how it ended up on SA dagger.

The one which was sold on WAF did not have a date under the RZM mark. I have just looked as I have access to old ads there. $595.

    Cheers, Ade.

Thanks Ade, the 39 number keeps this dagger a mistery, hopefully it will ring the bell and someone will be able to clear this up

Hi Jamoros..I dug into this a bit more..with some cross-referencing..and I dont see anything that supports dated mid to late SA daggers. Yet that sole 39 number does appear on HJ ricassos only.

SS daggers also bear the 39 number ..but that in itself is a separate dagger topic.

RZM7/80 comes back to Gustav Spitzer ( Undated )

    SA dagger

    also made:

    SA SS NSKK
    HJ
    Heer
    2nd Luftwaffe
    RLSB
    NS bayonets

Thats all there is to offer..and hard to say if its authentic or not..or someone who saw the number on an HJ ..decided to create something that never was?? Not sure.
