I'm trying to separate the good stuff from box lots of items I got at an auction. Is this SA dagger a keeper or does it go into the ever fake bin?

Looks ok to me.

Keeper for sure, the blade looks a bit tired but I'm sure some simi chrome would clean it up, looks like it was never taken apart. Nice find.
Nice find and it does look good. Hope you got the scabbard.
Unfortunately no scabbard. Where would I find a compatible one?
Hey Pablo,
Looks good to me. Johnson Reference Books - Tom Johnson in the SE has many parts and components. You may want to call with Maker and ask them if they have period proper scabbard. You may pay more with them for the scabbard however than it is worth. Finding one that matches the dagger condition will be the tough challenge but see if they can send good pictures to you before buying. Just my thoughts.

Although SA daggers looks alike there is a big difference in crossguard curves.
It is very difficult to find a scabbard with a throat that will fit the lower crossguard.
Having a gap between those 2 is not what you want, so before buying one online perhaps you better wait for a militaria show to find one, so you can see if they fit before buying, saves a dissapointment...
