Default SA Dagger - Real or Fake?

    Hi Folks -

A friend was looking to buy this and asked my opinion of it. I really am not a collector of WW2 (WW1 ), but it looks suspicious to me, just the makers stamp and eagle insert look kind of funky. But, I told him I would pass it by the experts!

    So, any opinions appreciated.

    Thanks and Best Regards!

Its postwar ..but this B&A company was quite real. This company decided to capitalize on the allies being there and putting together daggers as souvenirs.

Some collectors choose to add one of these postwar put togethers into their collections.

B&A searched around solingen for bits and bobs to put together daggers. So what you have are fully parted daggers,..made up from all 3 time periods.

The war took a great toll on many of the producers ..and some of them of the larger names also began some type of production of cutlery. Tough times to make ends meet.

Nice all authentic period parted dagger.
