Thanks, I read it quickly and misinterpreted what you meant.
The comment "you would be throwing your money into a well, never to be seen again", is referring to the money paid above what it's worth is, not that the whole dagger and $$ is wasted.
I sometimes get defensive when I see people that only collect mint treat anything less as worthless to collect.
If you like it,can afford it and want it-buy it and enjoy it. Simple enough.
