    Hello all,

I came across this leather hanger and purchased thinking it may be a portion of the SA dagger 3-piece hanger. What do you all think? I am unsure of the marking on the leather piece. At first it looked like the eagle marking on other Third Reich militaria, but a closer look has me doubting that.

Hi Doug not sure on this being an SA hanger..but may of been a non regulation type. The D ring is not the well rounded type we see on most hanging rigs and the stamping on the leather I never seen either. The stitching style and thread type also does not appear to be TR related.

This may also be an equipment loop. Regards Larry

Thanks for the input Larry. I laid it down next to my genuine example and this one was a little wider and the d ring was just a bit larger. I was unsure of how uniform these pieces actually were. Research revealed that these, like everything else, did have variations amongst them. I will keep looking!

Interesting marking - looks like "E-A" beneath the coat
of arms - which in Spanish is 'Escudo de Armas'.
I believe it may be for Argentina.........

Thanks Steve! I guess I need to get my eyes checked out! Any idea what the loop may have been used for?
