I waiting
I return the dagger, or I keep
850.00 CAD = 678.267 USD
value in this condition ?
If it has a mismatched sheath, it has been reduced, basically, to a curio status rather than a highly collectable Solingen produced dagger. Personally, for nearly $700 US, I would return it.

Hi Pierre....Louper is one of the more rarer producers and for the Collector who collects by the Producer...it would be one to hold onto...and a scabbard can be acquired by shopping around. Other than that..The Price range Wagriff has given is quite sufficient. The blade has been buffed down..which also reduces the over all worth..along with the mismatched scabbard.
$850 is a bit high IMO.
The decision is yours as the scabbard and dagger itself..are from the TR period..but..in a difference of a time period range of 6 yrs. Who knows if the scabbard was replaced during the period..or it was a current replacement..the bottom line..I would like a complete same period example.
The question that someone would ask me?..... Would I buy it?...I might if I was looking to complete an all name producer list..of SA daggers..other than that..it is mismatched..and at this point in time, the need is not there. Your choice..but the $850 price tag is not worth what is currently included with it. Regards Larry
