    Hi Tigern

The lower scabbard fitting on the scabbard does not belong and is oversized for the scabbard
The scabbard itself does not belong to the dagger itself and is an early period type.....take notice also to the scabbard fit to the lower guard.
The Tang nut does not belong and was added recently showing excessive plier marks from the dagger being opened so many times. !

The blade grip and guards appear to be consistent of the mid period detail expected to be seen on this producer type.

    Nice dagger?
I would say nicely assembled from parts of other daggers. Where ever you recieived this dagger from return it !

    Regards Larry
