I never seen an Eickhorn Rohm with the motto far from the crossguard.. I agree with Ade,,, the rest of the dagger looks great and all period parts.

Well I am even more confused now then I was yesterday. I have been inundated with e-mails and phone calls in regards to this dagger. I have been told its fake, real and everything in-between. I am just going to put it back on my shelf and forget about it for another 5 years. Thanks guys and have a wonderful rest of the day. Oh, and thanks for all of your help and advice :-)
Real dagger, fake inscription - 2nd lot of photos were better.
Someone will probably tell you it's a fake and then offer
$150 or some other small amount.........
Regards,
Steve.
You guys are of course correct, the blade is definitely bad. The maker mark is the give away. Real examples have the mark very close to the crossguard. The obverse motto is also placed differently than on non-Rohm daggers.
