Sa ground Rohm with gorgeous Tiger striped Grip
This Eickhorn is a textbook (ground) Rohm, lower crossguard is benchmarked, small logo, superb fit overall.
Grip has an excellent fit to its crossguards, and its inlayed eagle and pastille are in great condition.
The inlay of the Eagle and the Pastille is done with great care, they seem to be part of the grip.
Ive seen a lot of tiger striped grips, but this one is for sure an unique one!
Hold it under different light conditions and the grain color seems to change
Scabbard is dent free but lost a bit of its color, the former owner liked it clean...
The blade is a ground Rohm with the early small Eickhorn logo close to the cross guard.
Grounding means mostly: hurting the blade, but it wasnt done that bad on this one.
Grounded blades are part of the Rohm/TR history
The motto side has still some cross grain left, altho its hard to get it on the photo's
Crossguard to throats scabbard is as good as they come, tight like a young girl Larry would say
Its gau mark is Ho = Hochland, and as it should not marked in the center of the guard but placed at the tip where the grip falls into the guard.
Cheers,
Ger
