Is it the same dimensions as the "classic" daggers?

They have been making these for a number of years already.
They are patterned after the Swiss Holbein dagger, not the SS dagger, which was patterned after the Holbein originally.

There is already a thread here somewhere that someone actually bought one of these for near $1400 +

Other veteran blade makers have gone down this marketing path. Wilkinson during the 1980's and 1990's make endless "anniversary" boxed editions of the Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knives. They were gobbled up by collectors, but years on doubtful investments for the money asked. An original is always a better bet than a replica, even one made by an original maker.

I think it looks quite close, even though the blade seems a bit narrower perhaps?

By the way, I think I will have to add your location description to my profile, it is pretty spot on.

These are way cheaper then the 1400 euro we saw last time, this one is "only" 269 euro.
Strange thing is it only has a bufferpad when it is in its scabbard
