$1500? Am sorry to hear that! Never be hesitant to post any items here that you are not sure of-Before you buy! We are open 24/7 and will always be glad to give out an opinion to help save a collector from bogus junk costing them money. It's one of the purposes of this site -to sort the chaff from the grain!
Regardless, I would still contact the auction company and ask for a refund. If they refuse, and it was paid for by credit card, contact the card company and ask Them as well.

I haven't paid for it yet.. may try to cancel.. still kind of cool looking.. may keep it as a conversation piece..
If you have,nt paid for it, return it stating why, its been mis-represented, the auction house have no option but to withdraw it from sale, dont waste $1500 for a bad egg

Get yourself a nice mint authentic dagger for that money. You don't want to be reminded of a misrepresented item you bought. Cancel the purchase and contact the auction house if it was misrepresented by them. There should be accountability on each side of the transaction. If they stated it is authentic you should be ok if there was no mention you maybe burned. Good luck!
Im sorry but Live auctioneers pedals more fakes than real items....
I would look for reputable dealer rather than on the fly auctions.
