The e's on the blade should all hit the same place on the ridge.. handle dont fit top crossguard..
Blade has been grinded.. lots of issues on this one.
I am sure Larry will do more commentary on it.
A Thread to consider of this Helbig producer regarding the motto font ...but with the severe condition of the blade it is difficult to discern originality.
The res of the dagger hands down is parted together.
Zden give read through some of the many SS threads on SS daggers as the overall expectations in details are near to be the same ..which if you compare fittingsand also the fit itself..I would expect a greater example from a mid period production example despite the horrid font type seen here and also in the threads sen in the link I provided.
IMO I see no great value on this dagger and I would not spend $100 if it were offered to me.
