Thank You!
Where can I look original or Fake?
Exist engraved dress bayonet Book?
...thx
-
It looks like another embellished parade bayonet to me, sorry...not a big fan...

Isn't that an army sword knot on it

I don't care for the quality of the engraving. And I would wonder why there is no unit symbol engraved on it as well. The Das Reich was a very much famed outfit. And why is the wording upside down?

The knot and the belt are worth the 100 euros. An original SS inscription is a very rare item. I think Whittmann only shows one example in his book. You need to post some much better pictures of the etch. Odds are it is bad but some experienced collectors can give you a more info reply.

The proper unit designation was SS Standarte "Deutschland"...NOT SS Infanterie Regiment Deutschland...That's a Glaring Red Flag and enough for me to recommend you save your money...
cheers, Glenn

I think this is an old Atwood fake from the late 60's. I agree that the know is for a Heer officer sword and the belt appears to be period original. The bayonet is good for weeding in the garden.

So many decent Dress bayonets "devalued" far more than what they are worth , without the etch = $0
The Frog and Belt though will still hold their current market value.
